„Food Analysis by Mobile Application”

Workshop. The goal of the event: Sharing information about EU H2020 Food Scanner Prizes Tender, and drawing attention to solutions for food analysis by mobile application and the related food industry analysis methods.

The EU announced the Horizon Prizes in H2020 R&D Frame Programme in 2015 as a new form of grants awarding development of revolutionary technology solutions and tools. Within the frames of this tender the EU awards the developers of the best solutions in the given categories with 1 million Euro (1 MEUR, 100-100kEUR).

The EU offers one of the H2020 Prizes for developers of portable, mobile solutions that are suitable for fast and efficient food analysis (contents, nutrition facts, harmful and poisonous components), thus can help the consumers' health maintenance and nutrition.

Within the frames of this workshop the presenters overview the goals and conditions of the H2020 Food Scanner Prize, introduce the mobile food analyzer tools, the most important food analyzing methods and the EU requirements on food industry research and food safety aspects.
